sunny Mui Ne

life's a beach

Another bus trip brought us here to Mui Ne, downhill all the way, past a rather impressive new hydro-electric scheme and into the warmth and sunshine again. The bus took us on probably the worst road in Vietnam, which is saying something, so a relief to arrive at Mui Ne.100_0128.jpg

Stayed in a fab little resort with a lovely pool and right on the beach, definitely the place for a relax! spent six days here doing very little except eat, go in the pool and walk along the beach. Around lunchtime the wind got up so watching kite-surfers proved to be abit of a distraction. The only trip out was one Rosie and Nigel made by motorbike to the famous red sand dunes.

They were grabbed by local kids and went sledging down the dunes on plastic sheets- very cool says Rosie. When it came to paying the kids weren't quite so friendly - one or two were positively abusive, their language skills stretched to a few choice swear words!

The ladies of the household did manage to find time in our busy schedule for some important stuff

We left Mui Ne on another bus, this time heading for the big Ho Chi Minh City (still commonly referred to as Saigon). hoping the kids are more polite here!
